As the UX designer for this project I was responsible for creating and documenting the process via wireframes and regular meetings with stakeholders, and also working with the developer to realize this product via QA testing.

 Overview

MSIA is an organization dedicated to spiritual education and offers courses via monthly subscriptions in both physical and digital formats. They sought to modernize their digital offering from a PDF to a mobile app experience. The new platform was designed to improve accessibility, create a more engaging reading experience, and help the organization connect with a wider, more diverse audience.

Insight

This app came out of our work on the client's website. A common pain point users mentioned was difficulty accessing their digital subscription content on mobile devices.

Process

We created this app as an all-in-one resource for current and prospective students. The final iteration of the app featured 5 key sections: Home screen with inspirational quote; a library featuring their monthly subscrptions; a meditation timer; a section to give; and a section for more featuring curated videos and a prayer list.

All-in-one resource: Students can login to access their digital subscription in the library and keep track of favorites

New timer flow: The user is presented with the option to use a saved preset or start a new timer. Both flows allow the user to set an intention before and capture any notes after a session.

Tracking usage: Users can view their previous sessions and saved notes in Activity
